In today’s drying climate and increasing demand for water, more sophisticated methods of managing water resources are necessary.  Rockwater is actively involved in the development and application of MAR to augment conventional groundwater supplies.

Rockwater has been using numerical groundwater models since 1980.  We keep abreast of advances in modelling concepts and software, giving us advanced capabilities in the modelling of flow, solute, density (salinity) and heat.

Rockwater has a diverse environmental capability that complements its groundwater services.  Our team of environmental scientists practice in the areas of environmental management, hydrology, groundwater ecology, contaminated sites, and botany.

Rockwater develops surface water models in accordance with the latest Australian Rainfall and Runoff techniques.  We have conducted surface water and hydrological studies for over 50 mining projects in Western Australia.

Rockwater routinely uses surface and down-hole geophysics to identify aquifers and lithological boundaries, and measure salinity, temperature, porosity and clay content. We have our own wire-line and ground-based geophysical survey capability. 

Rockwater analyses and assesses environmental monitoring data collected by our scientists, or obtained from clients or remote telemetry systems.  Groundwater projects can range in scale from a single bore, to large mineral processing plants with over 500 monitoring points.
